Colin Cowherd weighs in on satellite camps, said “Saban should be afraid of Harbaugh”

Now, the man of all things click bait has thrown his hat into the satellite camp conversation.

Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd is one who never ceases to amaze the masses with controversial statements. He went on “The Herd” Wednesday afternoon to discuss the satellite camp situation that involves both Nick Saban and Jim Harbaugh. Cowherd pledged his alliance on the side of Harbaugh as he said, “Saban should be afraid of him when it comes to recruiting.”

Saban has made it very clear that’s he is not one for politics. He cares about the integrity of the game and wants things to be done a certain way, nevertheless, Cowherd is not buying it at all.

“He’s completely into politics,” Cowherd said about Saban on the Herd.

“He got into politics with the read option and spread offenses that runs 13 seconds every play. Nick always says I’m not into politics, I don’t want to get into that but every year, two or three times, when he gets the podium he has something he wants to address and he attacks it with vigor.”

Cowherd started with Saban’s views on the read option and safety of players when it comes to pace of play.

“Oh the kids. Oh the kids. It’s not safe,” Cowherd said on Saban.

“Now, he did make valid points on that but he had no data or statistical evidence to prove on player safety or if the game was not as safe with faster plays. He just doesn’t like it because he’s territorial.”

Cowherd agrees that there’s more good high school football players in the south and for Michigan and Ohio State to win a national championship, “they need those players.”

He ended his two cents with saying “it’s not about protecting the kids, but it’s about protecting your oil, your water and your resources” when it comes to Saban not wanting satellite camps.
