Monty Rice, a top 20 linebacker in the nation and the No.17 player in the Touchdown Alabama In-State Top 25 has been one of the state’s rising names this offseason, receiving interest from some big time programs. The explosive linebacker out of James Clemens in Madison, Ala. has the frame and instincts to play at the next level right now. At 6’1″. 230 pounds, he plays a game very similar to Alabama senior linebacker, Reuben Foster, although being 15 pounds lighter than Foster. Both play with a certain tenacity and speed that make is absolutely mesmerizing.
In an interview with Touchdown Alabama’s recruiting team, Rice released what he would consider to be his top five schools at the moment.
