Alabama lands 12 players on Phil Steele’s 2016 preseason All-American Team

When it comes to analyzing college football, very few publications come close to Phil Steele’s of Football Writers Association of America. The ESPN insider and FWAA member released his annual college football preview book to stores on Tuesday, with information spanning through 352 pages.

Steele’s preseason 2016 All-American Team is found on page 16, and 12 Alabama players are listed across the board. The Crimson Tide had seven first-team selections, the most among all programs.

Coach Nick Saban and company looks to return to the College Football Playoff for a third straight year and capture a national championship once again. Listed below are all 12 players that made Phil Steele’s list on first, second, third and fourth teams.
