On Thursday, 83 students from University of Alabama earned first-year academic accolades via the Southeastern Conference for the 2015-16 calendar year, with 10 coming from its football program.
Alabama was one of four schools to have more than 65 honorees, joining Auburn, Kentucky and South Carolina. To earn a spot on the 2015 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or higher at its nominating intuition, be on scholarship or a letter winner, have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at an institution and have been a member of the varsity team for the sport’s entire championship segment.
The Tide had 350 students on the honor roll for the 2015-16 academic year, spanning 82, 59 and 126 individuals for the SEC Fall, Winter and Spring semesters. Listed below are the 10 football players that helped Alabama increase it lists of academic honorees increase by 50 from last year.
