SECMD 2016: Crimson Tide Picked To Win SEC

Credit: Cedric Mason - Touchdown Alabama Magazine

It’s that time of year again. Time for the media to make predictions on the SEC and the public to give some serious backlash. It was just last season when the media was mixed between Alabama and Auburn on top of the SEC but that didn’t exactly happen. This year the predictions are mixed a little differently.

Ten different teams were given at least one vote as SEC Champion, including one each for Vanderbilt and South Carolina. But it was the reigning conference champions that gained the most votes from the media the week. Alabama was voted as an overwhelming favorite to win the SEC, earning 164 more votes than second place (LSU).
