On Thursday, SEC Media Days concluded with 331 members of the press voting for the 2016 preseason media days All-SEC Team. Ole Miss’ Chad Kelly, Tennessee’s Joshua Dobbs and LSU’s Brandon Harris all nabbed a spot at quarterback on first, second and third team respectively.
The University of Alabama was picked to win the SEC West and Southeastern Conference as a whole. Media personnel named 13 Crimson Tide players to its All-SEC team, including seven first-team selections (most in the conference). Calvin Ridley, O.J. Howard, Cameron Robinson, Jonathan Allen, Reuben Foster, Eddie Jackson and JK Scott all made the first team list.
Ridley was among the top three vote getters (318), joining Kelly (321) and Tigers’ running back Leonard Fournette (329). Since 1992, Alabama’s had the most votes for first team All-SEC members with nine in 2011 and eight in 2010. Florida had the most votes heading into the 2009 season.
