Alabama football announces 2017 schedule

It’s never too early to plan, right?

While head coach Nick Saban and Alabama are focused on this season, the athletic’s department has announced the football schedule for 2017. The Crimson Tide will open the year with a neutral-site game against Florida State, playing inside the new Mercedes-Benz Superdome in Atlanta.

Alabama will host seven teams at Bryant Denny Stadium—Fresno State (Sept. 9), Colorado State (Sept. 16), Ole Miss (Sept. 30), Arkansas (Oct. 14), Tennessee (Oct. 21), LSU (Nov. 4) and Mercer (Nov. 18). Saban and company will travel to Vanderbilt (Sept. 23), Texas A&M (Oct. 7), Mississippi State (Nov. 11) and Auburn (Nov. 25), with its conference opener starting at Nashville, Tenn.

The 2017 Southeastern Conference Championship Game  is slated for Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
