Even with spring practice in action, academics reigns above all at the University of Alabama.
Sophomores Jalen Hurts and Lyndell “Mack” Wilson firmly understand the process, as both players were recognized for academic honors during the school’s “Honor’s Day” on Sunday.
Wilson captured the moment on Twitter, using the #TrulyBlessed and #BrothersKeeper.

Both he and Hurts were instrumental on the Crimson Tide’s 2016 Southeastern Conference and Peach Bowl championship team. Hurts won SEC Offensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, following a performance of 2,780 passing yards, 954 rushing yards and 36 touchdowns responsible for.
Wilson recorded eight tackles a year ago, including a jarring hit on former Texas A&M wide receiver Speedy Noil on a kickoff return. He would also collect a touchdown reception in week four of the college football season against Kent State, helping the Tide earn a 48-0 victory at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
