After watching his stock fall all the way down to the 19th pick, O.J. Howard is beginning to receive some positive news.
He officially signed his four-year rookie contract today, though specific dollar-figures have not yet been announced. According to Buccaneers.com, Howard’s mother was also present at the signing in celebration.

O.J. is now set to be another strong offensive weapon for quarterback Jameis Winston, in addition to Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, and Cameron Brate. Should running back Doug Martin find a way to return to form, the Buccaneers will have not only one of the best receiving corps in all of football, but one of the best offenses as well.
In other positive news for the former Alabama tight end, O.J. may also be getting a chance to throw out the first pitch in tonight’s Tampa Bay Rays’ game.

Despite being notably underused in Lane Kiffin’s offense, it is safe to say the people of Tampa Bay, Florida, are happy to have O.J. aboard.
For more O.J., do not forget to tune into this season’s Hard Knocks on HBO, as they announced earlier this year that they will be spotlighting the Buccaneers this off-season.
