As Alabama’s 2018 recruiting class starts to add more names, it’s time to look at two Crimson Tide targets that will be prime players — should the Tide get a verbal commitment from both of them. Yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine now breaks down wide receiver Seth Williams and defensive back Jayln Armour-Davis.

Seth Williams

Position: WR
Prediction: Alabama

Seth Williams is a wide receiver in the 2018 recruiting class. He is a student at Paul Bryant High School that’s been molded into an aggressive receiver that can compete for the ball in the air. Williams is a four- star recruit according to 247 Sports. The Tuscaloosa native has offers from SEC schools Mississippi State, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss and South Carolina, but it’s rightfully so that Alabama has already offered the stud as well.

It is hard thinking that this guy will go any where, but to The University of Alabama. Williams plays with a level of confidence that can be seen from a mile away and has the ability to dominate on both sides of the ball. It is going to take a huge amount of recruiting tactics to steal Williams from Tuscaloosa. It is not something that usually happens under Nick Saban and company.

Jayln Armour-Davis

Position: CB
Prediction: Alabama

Jayln Armour Davis is a four-star prospect and the No. 4 player in the state of Alabama per 247 Sports. He has the ability to be a ball hawk on the defense. Davis seems to always want to be near the ball and possibly create a turnover. St Paul Episcopal in Mobile Ala., has him playing a lot of receiver. He is pretty effective at wide out, but the experience he gained from playing receiver can served as a great addition to his cornerback game.

It can put him in the mindset of a receiver, while he is guarding one and telegraph some of the moves they attempt to generate separation. Alabama could use him in a similar role to the one that Trevon Diggs played a season ago. The Tide and Auburn are competing for this in-state recruit, but many are predicting that he will land in Tuscaloosa. Alabama was the first school to offer him. Both recruits will be huge additions to Alabama’s 2018 recruiting class.
