A native of Courtland, Ala., Martin is a product of Austin High School. His 5’11” frame gives him the ability to harbor a lightning fast speed. He is one of those backs that uses elusiveness and acceleration to out quick defenders on chunk yardage plays. Do not get it twisted, though, he is also able to use his size very well.
He has a stiff arm in his repertoire that can be very effective at the next level.
Martin also has the ability to catch the ball out if the backfield. This trait can be very beneficial to a mobile quarterback like Jalen Hurts when he gets into trouble. It can also be a great tool to have when Alabama decides to run a screen play. Alabama has been home for several elite running backs over the last decade or so.

Martin will have the opportunity to learn from one of the best in Alabama running backs coach, Burton Burns and join a rotation that function as a big brotherhood. Florida and Auburn are both pushing for his services too. They can also see this as an opportunity to affect Alabama’s recruiting and gain an elite talent that they possibly can use against Alabama at the same time. Alabama is in the mix for some big names this off season.
