Talanoa Hufanga, a four-star prospect, in the 2018 recruiting class, announced his top 10 on Thursday via Twitter and Alabama is in. This makes the third player in the last two days to announce that Alabama is among their top schools.

Utah, Oregon, UCLA, USC, Washington, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Oregon State join the Tide in his top 10 schools, making Alabama the only SEC team within the ranks. Hufanga is the top-ranked  in the state of Oregon according to 247 Sports, while ESPN has him ranked at No. 3 in the state with a 4.74 40-time.

He is listed as an “athlete” and that is exactly what he is. This guy is a special talent that can play a variety of positions. His body type will allow him to compete for positions on both sides of the ball. The 6’1” 193-pounder lines up at quarterback and strong safety for Crescent Valley High School. Hufanga definitely can compete in the secondary with his aggressive hard-hitting style of play. It might be his best fit with his ball-hawking mentality.

The Oregon native still does have two instate schools on his list, which is going to make it a bit difficult for teams to go out and pluck him away from Oregon and Oregon State. His top 10 proves that he is definitely given some consideration to some high profile out of state schools.
