Emerson, a defensive tackle prospect for the 2018 recruiting cycle, is an imposing specimen at 6-foot-3 and 289 pounds. To pair with his size, he’s been clocked at 4.84 seconds in the 40-yard dash according to ESPN.
After losing Dalvin Tomlinson to this year’s NFL Draft and possibly seeing Da’Ron Payne leave upon the end of next season, getting a player like Emerson will be crucial for the Crimson Tide in recruiting. He has an knack for chasing down the fastest of skill players and make touchdown saving tackles in open space. It looks like Alabama will have to battle with Tennessee, who has home-field advantage in this recruiting situation.
