Alabama Offers Antonio Alfano

Antonio Alfano, a recruit in the 2019 recruiting class, announced via twitter on today that he has received a offer from Alabama.

Alfano is the #1 player in New Jersey according to 24/7 sports. He is also a 5-star recruit.

The 6’5″ 255 pounder uses pure power when playing defense. There is nothing pretty about his game when he is focus on tackling his opponent. It is just a pure form of aggression.

This guy is very strong. He is able to burst through offensive lines and take ball carriers down with unimaginable force. When he is not breaking free of offensive lineman, he is standing guys up, reading the play and then shedding the block to make the tackle.

He is also very athletic for a big guy. It has been reported to ESPN that he runs a 5.26 in the 40 and recorded a 31.2 in the vertical jump.

Nick Saban coach teams have never been short of great defensive lineman. This past season’s team included one of the best defensive line rotation in the country. Alabama defensive line’s high level of play does not seem to be slowing down any time soon. The addition of Alfano would add another potential great to the Alabama roster.

Alfano is a product of Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, the high school of many former NFL players like Isaiah Williams, Brian Crushing,Mike Bajakian and Jim Dray.

Georgia and Florida are the only other SEC teams to offer Alfano.

Antonio Alfano is looking like the real deal up to this point.
