Coynis Miller, a defensive tackle, in the 2018 recruiting class, announced his top 5 on today and included Alabama. Miller made his announcement early Thursday morning, per an interview with AL.com.
Oregon, Auburn, Florida and Louisville were the other four teams.
Miller is one of the top defensive linemen in the state of Alabama. He is very agile and incredibly fast for a guy his size. The 6’0″ 300-pounder is almost impossible to block. He has a huge repertoire that includes spin moves, hand techniques and the old fashion just simply running through blockers.
This guy is a complete athlete. He is able to do things that he shouldn’t be physically able to accomplished. We have seen him line up at quarterback on many occasions. In these moments, he is not just running the ball, Miller is given the go ahead to even throw. If he does decide to run, It is definitely going to be a brutalizing run that defenders are not to fund of attempting to stop.
Alabama’s defensive linemen have always been a aggressive.
Aggressiveness and toughness have become a trademark of the Crimson Tide in recent years. Miller fits right in with this style of play. He is aggressive and plays with that dog mentality. This is the type of attitude that players must have to play in the trenches inside the SEC. Alabama and Auburn are both going hard after this in state recruit. It is going to be interesting to see if both of them can keep Miller in the state of Alabama.
