The Way It Is: Leadership to force Jalen Hurts to have a better sophomore campaign

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

He’s constantly worked all summer on improving his game as a quarterback. For sophomore Jalen Hurts, it’s more than becoming a better passer – he wants the full respect of his teammates.

After putting together an incredible freshman season, the native Texan will dig more so into his leadership to help this year’s group return to the College Football Playoff stage and win a national championship.

He received glowing reviews from the Manning Passing Academy, following his time spent with Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning last week at Nicholls State University in Louisiana.

While Hurts continues to fine-tune some things, yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine was live Thursday on The Way It Is, providing reasons on why he will be better in the upcoming fall.
