
Hoover, Ala.– Alabama redshirt senior Bradley Bozeman was one of seven offensive linemen from the Southeastern Conference to be selected as a nominee for the Rimington Trophy watch list on Tuesday, according to a press release from the organization.
During his first season as the Crimson Tide’s starting center in 2016, Bozeman opened up running lanes for four 500-plus yard rushers and a 1,000-yard running back in junior Damien Harris (1,037). Hailing from Roanoke, Ala., he aided quarterback Jalen Hurts to a successful freshman year. With Bozeman at the controls, Hurts managed to throw for 2,780 passing yards, 954 rushing yards and a school-record 36 touchdown responsible for – en route to earning the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Year.
He’s played in 39 career games, dating back to 2014.
Prior to arriving at Alabama in 2013, Bozeman was a three-star prospect from Handley High School. He anticipates guiding this year’s group back to a College Football Playoff National Championship. Former Tide standout Ryan Kelly was the latest player in school history to win the Rimington Trophy in 2015.
