He recorded 13 career interceptions as a five-star at Hoover (Ala.) High School and five picks during his tenure at the University of Alabama, but now cornerback Marlon Humphrey is in the National Football League and has taken the same dynamic ball skills to the Baltimore Ravens.
Ex- Crimson Tide standout and Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley mentioned on last week’s airing of The Way It Is (Fox Sports Shoals) on how Humphrey could make an impact on special teams; however, he immediately showed off his ability to break on the ball in today’s camp session. Per a video from the Ravens’ Twitter account, Humphrey picked off a pass from quarterback Ryan Mallet. The wide receiver in question was executing a comeback route, but Humphrey’s speed and instincts led him to breaking in front of the target and making a play on the football.

With headline names such as A.J. Green and Antonio Brown dominating the AFC North, it’s crucial to have a defensive back that can create turnovers as well as secure tackles in space. Humphrey was the first Alabama player selected in this year’s NFL Draft, as the Ravens chose him 16th overall in the first round.
He anticipates helping the program return to the Super Bowl.
