Nick Saban names pair of freshmen that can be special on Tide’s offensive line

Alabama football head coach Nick Saban speaks to the press during media portion of Crimson Tide's fan day: Alicia Devine - Touchdown Alabama Magazine

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt turned the dogs loose on quarterback Jalen Hurts, as the sophomore found himself escaping the pocket multiple times during Saturday’s scrimmage.

Regardless of having three returning starters, including a Rimington Trophy preseason candidate in Bradley Bozeman and a stud in Jonah Williams, no one’s spot is solidified. Aside from running back Damien Harris’ good outing – per sources – not much was generated in the run game and Alabama’s passing attack lacked rhythm according to head coach Nick Saban.

Developing a solid rotation along the offensive line is pivotal in creating success. While four guys were signed in Alabama’s top-ranked 2017 recruiting class, Saban named two in his presser that could potentially see playing time and assist the Tide in competing for a College Football Playoff National Championship.
