It doesn’t take long for Nick Saban’s message on mental toughness to hit home.
Alabama football lost a pair of strong-side linebackers for the season, as Christian Miller and Terrell Lewis both sustained serious injuries during last week’s game versus Florida State.
Both players were pegged to be marquee contributors, especially Miller after he added some weight to his 6’4″ frame and had learned all facets of the Crimson Tide’s defense. Despite Lewis leading the duo in total tackles (five), he and Miller were not seen much at all in the second half.
Lewis and Miller’s father — Corey Miller — shared positives vibes over the weekend through social media, regardless of medical mishaps.
Great win for @AlabamaFTBL over @Seminoles. Proud of my son @christianmillr despite being hurt! God always has the perfect plan! Prov. 3 5-6

While the Tide will be in search of young players to step up, a medical redshirt should be in order for Miller and Lewis. Expect both men to return with a lot more fire next season.
