Alabama has their eyes on the No. 2 dual threat quarterback in the 2019 recruiting class. The Crimson Tide awarded him with an offer on last month.

He discussed with yours truly what the offer meant to him.

“The feeling was surreal when I got an offer from Alabama,” Johnson said. “They are one of the most prestigious programs in the nation.”

He is the No. 1 2019 recruit in the state of Oregon according to ESPN. ESPN has him ranked as No. 66 in The ESPN Junior 300 and the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback.

Johnson possess a unique skill set. He is very fast and is able to extend plays with his feet. His arm is not to shabby either. His game looks a lot like Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts, but his lengthy body allows him to take longer strides.

A part of his game that is evident is his want to win. He looks for many different ways to put points on the board. A quick look at his highlight videos shows this guy can score in many different ways.

This guy is going to be outstanding at the next level if he is able to use his arm and his feet. He is a play maker and that is a part of his game that can be used at the next level.

Alabama does not have a commitment from a quarterback in their 2018 or 2019 recruiting class. There are some very likable candidates on the board. Johnson has to be considered one of those guys.
