Before Alabama takes the field with Auburn for the Iron Bowl, ESPN’s Marty Smith was able to have a quick word with Crimson Tide head coach, Nick Saban.
After hearing all week about linebackers Christian Miller (biceps) and Terrell Lewis (elbow) in functional rehab, Smith reports via social media that both guys will play.
Since the medical mishaps in week one against Florida State, Miller and Lewis had successful surgeries and were productive in rehab. Both players were projected to have big numbers this season, prior to sustaining injuries.
As for the third injured party, Mack Wilson, the sophomore could also see action. However, he stands as a game-time decision – which depends on what he’s able to do in pre-game warmups.
Saban on sportcenter with @MartySmithESPN : Christian Miller will probably play, Terrell Lewis will maybe spot play and he has to see what Mack Wilson looks like around game time. 👀

Wilson was in the midst of a strong year with 21 tackles, three quarterback hurries and three interceptions (tied for team lead), until he suffered a foot injury against Louisiana State University.
It may not have been in the cards for all three players return at the same time, but seeing how it’s the matchup versus Auburn, the Tide’s coaching staff can test the effectiveness of the trio.
Jordan-Hare Stadium will be rocking today as CBS has the call at 2:30 p.m.
The winner of this contest will advance to the Southeastern Conference Championship Game to face Georgia.
