UA assistant coach Scott Cochran delivers intensity in social media debut

Butch Dill - USA TODAY Sports

A new video surfaced Monday on Twitter, and it is one that gave Alabama fans goosebumps when thinking about what happened in the College Football Playoff National Championship matchup with Georgia back in January.

Scott Cochran, UA’s director of strength and conditioning, spoke to the team at halftime while trailing 13-0 to the Bulldogs. In a 55-second video, he challenges the squad to show the world what Crimson Tide football is and wants everyone to stand together. Upon hearing one of the longest tenured coaches under Nick Saban speak, Alabama returned in the second half with true freshman Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback.

He completed 14 of 24 passes for 166 yards with three touchdowns – including a 41-yard game-winning strike to receiver Devonta Smith in overtime.

Its 26-23 thrilling victory has become the motivation behind this offseason fourth quarter program, which Cochran runs annually. Check out the video below as the Tide prepares for spring practice in March and the chance at national title No. 19 upon the start of next fall.
