The 2019 recruiting cycle is in full swing and Alabama has some impressive linebacker targets on the board. I will break down the linebacker prospects Alabama fans need to know and look out for in the 2019 recruiting class.
Nakobe Dean
Dean is a 5-Star Linebacker out of Horn Lake, Mississippi. He possesses both brains and bronze as he boasts a 4.0 GPA. His intelligence translates to the gridiron as he is able to read his keys and find the ball. He included Alabama in his top 15, which he announced on March 7. He has expressed to yours truly that he has a great connection with Alabama’s new coaching staff and a wonderful relationship with Alabama’s defensive assistant, Pete Golding. He hopes to visit Alabama again on an overnight visit later this month.
Lavonta Bentley
Bentley is a 4-Star linebacker out of Birmingham, Alabama. The Tide will look to change their fortunes this season as far as in-state targets are concern. They only landed two in the 2018 recruiting class. Bentley would be a great addition to their 2019 recruiting class as he is great at coming downhill and making tackles by taking fantastic angles. He included Alabama in his top 12 on Feb. 15.
Lakia Henry
Henry is a JUCO product out of Dodge City Community College in Vidalia, Georgia. He brings great experience to the table and should be able to contribute early. He is the No. 1 JUCO LB in the 2019 recruiting class. He is great at reading offenses and finding out which direction the ball is going in. He is also pretty decent in pass coverage. Alabama will be in a dogfight with this one as several schools are after Henry.
