Former Alabama linebacker, Reuben Foster, ex-girlfriend, Elissa Ennis, has testified that she lied to police about a domestic violence incident that resulted in Foster’s arrest. She testified at Foster’s preliminary hearing.
According to 49ers reporter, Cam Inman, Ennis testified that Foster did not hit her once. She actually hit him with a clothes hanger on Feb. 11.
“I was threatening Reuben. … that I was going to f*** up his career,” Ennis testified according to Inman.
Ennis also told why she call the police.
“I wanted to be extra. I wanted him to go down. I was pissed,” Ennis said.
Ennis also testified that she was upset about a previous fight she had been in with two females the night before Foster broke up with her.
The now 49ers linebacker is coming off a season where he recorded 72 tackles in 10 games. This particular incident was causing some questions to arise about his future in the NFL. Foster will now try to put this incident behind him with his second NFL season approaching.
