Alabama’s 2018 defensive back signee, Josh Jobe, has some work to do to make sure he is academically eligible, according to Al.com’s Matt Zenitz.
Jobe is a 4-Star defensive back and is a product of Cheshire Academy in Cheshire, Connecticut. Cheshire’s graduation is this weekend and Alabama should see where Jobe stands at that point. Jobe’s head coach did speak on the situation.
“It’s all coming down to the wire,” Cheshire coach David Dykeman said. “He’s done a great job here this year. I think he’s really grown academically and had some success. It’s going to be close. But I’m confident he’ll make it.”
Jobe plans to join the Tide in May but may have to hold out on joining the Tide till later this Summer. Dykeman is confident that if he Jobe doesn’t join in May, he will join sometimes later this summer.
“I think worst case is that he may have to do a little summer work to get there,” Dykeman said. “But again, I’m pretty confident that he’s going to be OK (to enroll in May).”
