The No. 1 player in the country, Kayvon Thibodeaux, announced his Top 5 on Friday and included the Tide.

Florida, Florida State, USC and Oregon rounded out Thibodeaux’s top 5 list.

Alabama wants this kid and Thibodeaux is showing serious interest. He took his first visit to Tuscaloosa on April 7. He expressed it went well and implied that he would return in the fall.

Fortunately for the Tide, they were able to get Thibodeaux back to campus before the Fall. On last weekend, Thibodeaux visited the Crimson Tide during their annual Champion’s Cook-Out on his own dollar. This was huge for the Tide and showed them that they were a serious contender in the race to get Thibodeaux.

Many experts are calling this kid a once in a lifetime type of player and one look at his film should tell you why. He stands at 6-feet-4-inches and weighs 234 pounds and it has been reported that his 40 time competes with some of the top offensive skill players in this loaded 2019 recruiting class. This kid explodes off the snap and rushes with an aggressive mindset. He has potential to play early and often at the collegiate level.

Alabama’s 2019 recruiting class is currently ranked No.1 in the nation and a commitment from Thibodeaux would be huge. There is still some work for the Tide to do and you can expect them to put their all into it. Touchdown Alabama Magazine will keep you updated on Thibodeaux’s recruitment.
