Alabama starts their Independence day off with surprising fireworks on the recruiting trail. 2019 defensive end, Byron Young, commits to Alabama.
— Byron Young (@ByronYoung19) July 4, 2018
Young is a 4-Star defensive end. He is ranked as the No.8 strong-side defensive end in the nation.
Alabama was included in Young’s top 10 along with Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and South Carolina. The Crimson Tide were able to hold off these top-tier programs and help strengthen the impressive defensive line class they already have with a commitment from Young.
Defensive line is a place where Alabama wants to add some depth and they are off to a fantastic start. Young joins Alabama defensive line commits Kevin Harris, Antonio Alfano, Justin Eboigbe, DJ Dale and Rashad Cheney. They are all 4-Star recruits.
Alabama now has a total of 18 commits in their 2019 recruiting class.
