Alabama is Poised For A Great July

Alabama has had much success on the recruiting trail as of late and things are only looking up.

The Tide have already landed two commits in this month alone. 4-Star 2020 defensive tackle, Jayson Elijah Jones, committed to Alabama on Monday and 2019 4-Star defensive end, Byron Young, committed at midnight on July 4. Alabama’s 2019 class is on the verge of adding several more commits as many recruits plan to announce their commitment before their senior season starts.

4-Star wide receiver, John Metchie, has announced he will make his commitment soon.

Metchie took his official visit to Alabama on June 15-17 and told Touchdown Alabama Magazine it went great. Alabama does not have a WR commit in the 2019 recruiting class but Metchie could very soon be calling the Tide’s name sometime this month.

4-Star tight end, Jahleel Billingsley, is working on a commitment video.

Billingsley also took an official visit to Alabama on June 15-17. It is the last visit he took, which has to be look at as a win for the Tide. Alabama wants to add two tight ends to their 2019 recruiting class and Billingsley would be a huge get.

5-Star safety, Daxton Hill, is also set to announce his commitment soon.

Maybe its some type of coincidence but Hill also took his official visit to Alabama on June 15-17. Something to keep in mind is the No.1 LB in the nation, Nakobe Dean, also visited Alabama on that weekend. Hill is the No.1 safety in the nation. It was expected that he would take an official visit to all six of his top schools but it doesn’t seem like Hill will do that now. The Tide are in great position with Hill.

4-Star wide receiver, Demariyon Houston, is also set to make his announcement. He will announce his commitment on July 7 at 7:00 p.m.

He released a top 7, which included the Tide.

Alabama’s 2020 class could soon add another addition as well.

2020 defensive tackle, Camron Jackson, released his top 3 on June 27 and plans to announce his commitment soon. He wants to put the recruitment process behind him as soon as possible and is heavily considering the Tide.

Alabama’s 2019 and 2020 recruiting classes have momentum at the moment and July could be their biggest month yet. Touchdown Alabama Magazine will keep you updated.
