Alabama sophomore linebacker, VanDarius Cowan, has been dismissed from Alabama’s football team.
“VanDarius has been dismissed from the team and is no longer a part of our football program due to a violation of team rules, ” Nick Saban said in a statement. “Each of us has a responsibility to represent The University of Alabama in a first-class way, and failure to meet those standards can’t be tolerated. We wish VanDarius the very best in the future”
Cowan was a 4-Star recruit coming out of high school. He was the No.4 OLB in the 2017 recruiting class.
This could affect Alabama in numerous ways. Especially, considering the Tide face many injuries on last season at the linebacker position. The Tide also landed only one linebacker in their 2018 class.
