Hewitt-Trussville High School is set to start their 2018-2019 football season on Saturday versus Cedar Groove. The Huskies are coming off an 11-1 season, which ended in the second round of the playoffs. Alabama commits Paul Tyson and Pierce Quick leads this stack squad that includes fellow Alabama commits, Dazalin Worsham and Malachi Moore.

Most Alabama fans’ eyes will be on the four Alabama commits that currently suit up for the Huskies but there are some more guys for Tide fans to keep an eye out for.

The first is Eric Taylor. Taylor currently holds 16 offers. Eight of those are from SEC schools. He visited Alabama this Summer and competed in the OL/DL camp but no offer was given. The Tide will evaluate Taylor some more and an offer could soon follow. Taylor is interested in the Tide and can see himself playing in Tuscaloosa. He told yours truly that it would be huge if Alabama offered.

“Oh my god,” Taylor added. “That would be huge. Especially, with me being from the state.”

Taylor stands at 6-feet-4-inches and weighs 280 pounds and is a member of the 2020 recruiting class. He can jump off the line pretty quick and be the first person in the backfield. He also has great sideline to sideline speed for a guy his size.

Another guy is Armoni Goodwin. Goodwin is in the 2021 recruiting class and will lineup for running back for the Huskies. He is one of those shorter backs at 5-feet-8-inches and 171 pounds. The first thing that stands out about Goodwin is his speed. He is freakishly explosive and when he gets in the open field there is no chasing him down from the back and making a tackle.

He currently has 4 offers. Ole Miss is the only SEC school that has offered him.

This two alongside their teammates will get to show off their talent on ESPN on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Alabama fans will definitely need to tune in as they will get to see some Alabama targets and commits.
