Terrell Lewis is doing everything possible to return to the field.
As one who’s been tabbed as the “heart and soul” of Alabama’s defense by his teammates, the elite pass rusher suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee before the start of the season.
While his timetable of returning is rumored to be in the postseason, Lewis has posted videos on Twitter of him lifting his right leg with no assistance and running on the anti-gravity treadmill.

A native of Washington, D.C., Lewis was projected to have a monster season in 2017, until an elbow issue against Florida State sidelined him for the majority of the time. He would return for the College Football Playoff, recording strong performances against Clemson and Georgia.
Despite the five-star’s desire to see action, Alabama head coach Nick Saban is not one to rush a player back and risk re-aggravating an injury. However, seeing the emotion on Lewis’ face alerts the players of his return being soon. His sack of Bulldogs’ quarterback Jake Fromm in overtime was a critical play in the Tide’s 26-23 win to secure a national championship, and the 6-foot-5 freakish athlete wants to relieve it again.
For Alabama fans, the hope is for him to be at full strength.
