2020 defensive tackle, Eric Taylor, grew up an Alabama fan and once an Alabama offer was in sight, he knew he had to work hard and earn it.
“I am very thankful to get an offer from the best school in the country,” Taylor said.
Taylor sat down with yours truly in June and discussed that it would mean a lot if he could get an offer from Alabama. He visited Tuscaloosa in June and was told that he would be further evaluated before an offer got on the table. He took that and decided to apply pressure from that point on.
“They told me they would evaluate me throughout the year,” Taylor added. “I just been grinding and to finally get offered is amazing,”

Taylor is a 4-Star recruit and is an ESPN junior 300 prospect. He holds 18 total offers. His recruitment has definitely heated up when one considers he had no offers last September. He believes the Tide is one of his favorites, but he just wants to enjoy the recruitment process at the moment.
“I am considering every school,” Taylor said. “But they are definitely one of my favorites.’
The Tide is hoping that the fortunes will remain good with Hewitt-Trussville prospects as Taylor has four teammates that are already committed to the Tide. His defensive coach is also non-other than former Alabama defensive lineman, Rudy Griffin. This means the Tide has several factors working in their favor.
