Just as he was starting to play well, junior cornerback Trevon Diggs got hampered by a broken foot in Alabama’s 65-31 win over Arkansas. Nick Saban mentioned to the press that he did not know the mishap occurred, until an MRI was performed on Sunday after the matchup.
Despite issues against the Razorbacks, Diggs stands at 20 tackles, a team-high six pass breakups and one interception. He will be out “indefinitely” according to Saban, and with him being the third defensive back down – joining Daniel Wright and Jalyn Armour-Davis – the Crimson Tide has three replacement options for the Maryland native and former four-star at left corner.
