The first college football playoff rankings of the season were released on Tuesday and The Crimson Tide came in at No.1.

Clemson, LSU, and Notre Dame rounded out the top four.
The Tide is averaging 54 points per game with their high powered offense lead by Heisman hopeful, Tua Tagovailoa.
The initial college football rankings gives teams and college football fans a snapshot of what the 2018-2019 college football playoff committee is thinking. Alabama’s matchup with LSU may have gotten that much bigger, as if it was not big enough. All eyes will be on Death Valley this Saturday.
