Could Trevon Diggs be moved to safety for Alabama next season?

Jerome Miron - USA TODAY Sports

He has not played in five games since suffering a foot injury against Arkansas, but junior cornerback Trevon Diggs still shares the team lead in pass breakups with six.

The Maryland native was all talk in 2017; however, he became more focused back in the offseason and had put together a few strong games prior to getting hurt. After shutting down Louisville’s tandem of Dez Fitzpatrick and Jaylen Smith at wide receiver, Diggs pushed Alabama’s secondary to handcuff the elite weapons of Mississippi and Texas A&M.
