UA takes care of Citadel, eyes annual in-state rivalry matchup with Auburn

Marvin Gentry - USA TODAY Sports

Not too many things compare to facing an option attack, especially when one is not use to preparing for it each year. Alabama football may face an option program once every five to six years, but head coach Nick Saban still wants perfection.

Fans of the Crimson Tide were concerned as Alabama and Citadel were tied at 10 at halftime; however, the master of second half adjustments got everything in order. With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa pacing the offense and linebacker Anfernee Jennings recording his first career touchdown, Alabama routed the Bulldogs in the second half.

In the aftermath of a 50-17 victory, there was one really cool moment, a few milestone moments and some injuries sustained by the Tide. For this airing of In My Own Words, Stephen Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine recaps last week’s game and dives into each career achievement that occurred.
