Quinnen Williams, a redshirt sophomore, has exceeded expectations in becoming a dominant force for Alabama football this season. The 6-foot-4, 295-pound nose tackle has shocked college football analysts with his performance, as he’s totaled 55 tackles – including a team-high 34 solo stops, 15 tackles for loss and six sacks. He is second in quarterback pressures (nine) and has guided Alabama to being in the top-10 nationally in almost every major category on defense.
While his outing versus Louisiana State University is one that National Football League scouts will watch for the rest of the year, Williams is a finalist for three national honors: Chuck Bednarik, Bronko Nagurski and Outland awards.
