Oklahoma may have used every graphic to help Kyler Murray in the Heisman race; however, it won’t even matter after what occurred Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
With Auburn taking away Alabama’s rushing attack in the 83rd Iron Bowl, Tua Tagovailoa took matters into his own hands. He carried the Crimson Tide’s offense to its eighth 50-point contest in defeating the Tigers, 52-21 to improve to 12-0.

Tagovailoa set multiple school records, including most total touchdowns in a single-season (41) and most total scores in a game (six). He tied for the school record in touchdown passes with five and posted his fifth game of totaling 300-plus yards; joining his efforts against Texas A&M (387), Arkansas (334), Tennessee (306) and Citadel (340).
The native Hawaiian completed 25 of 32 attempts for 324 passing yards with five touchdown passes and tallied a rushing score with 21 yards on four carries.
Along with his individual accolades, Tagovailoa captained the Tide to 500 yards offensively and helped it cash in on all three scoring opportunities in the red zone. Prior to this season, Alabama scored its most points in 2012 with 542. Behind the former five-star, the Tide has surpassed the mark this year with 588 points.
Despite Murray assisting the Sooners to 59 points in its win over West Virginia, Tagovailoa’s rout of Auburn in unarguably the biggest rivalry in all of sports should scream “Heisman” for all that witnessed his performance this weekend.
