Nick Saban and Alabama football are headed back to California; the place where its unprecedented run started in 2009. After handling Oklahoma 45-34 in the Orange Bowl, the Crimson Tide punched its ticket to face Clemson for a third time in a national title showdown.

Sophomore quarterback Tua Tagovailoa looked way better than “80-85 percent,” as he totaled 318 passing yards and four touchdowns. It was the sixth time this season for him accounting for at least 300 yards passing with four scores. Josh Jacobs had a huge performance with 150 all-purpose yards and one score and the Tide’s receiving corps showed out at Hard Rock Stadium.
