A huge opportunity for the former junior college star.
He did not end his collegiate tenure at the University of Alabama with a national championship; however, Isaiah Buggs grew to be a fan favorite and was a hardworking player in his two seasons.
The 6-foot-5, 286-pound defensive end had 102 tackles, including 17.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks for his career. He also chimes in with 13 pass breakups and two forced fumbles. Through 15 games in 2018, the Louisiana native posted 51 tackles, 13.5 stops for loss, a team-high 9.5 sacks, six quarterback hurries, three pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
While he has the speed, hands and core strength to be an elite run stuffer in the National Football League, Buggs’ quickness gives him an advantage in affecting the passing game as well.
He will have an opportunity to showcase his talents in February, as Buggs has been invited to the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
According to the latest updated version of prospect rankings via CBS Sports, Buggs is listed as the 63rd overall for the upcoming draft and 11th best player at defensive tackle.
