Post Title Game Worries Totally Unfounded at Alabama

It’s funny how folks are worried about Dan Enos leaving Alabama, they’re still worried about Mike Locksley leaving even though that’s been known for a while. Now with Jalen Hurts looking at transferring, Josh Jacobs and Damien Harris leaving for the NFL on offense and a whole slew on defense moving on, fans are natually just a tad on the worried side.

But if there’s anything that 11 years on the Tuscaloosa campus should have prepared you for is that all is well, the sky is not falling and Nick Saban has a plan in place, or perhaps has had a plan in place for weeks if not months to keep the Tide rolling.

If you don’t think that Nick Saban has a “dream list” for every coaching position on his staff in his desk, you don’t know Nick. As for the players moving on, the quarterback shelf is stocked. Mack Jones is a more than able backup and if the Tagovailoa genes prove as strong in Tua’s brother, we’ll have another able freshman who may can step up by season’s end if needed.

As for running back, Najee Harris gets his shot as the dean of the running backs and Brian Robinson will share the one two punch and others as they always do, will step up and have their moments too.

On defense, youngsters in the defensive backfield will have grown up a year and that’s a good thing. Yes the Tide will miss some familiar faces up front, but everytime the fans despaired and the media said it would be a rebuilding year, the Tide never missed a step in finding the muscle they needed to step up.

Reakwon Davis, Mack Davis, Anfernee Jennings, Shyheim Carter, Terrell Lewis and Trevon Diggs all apparently coming back for one more year and forgoing the draft, there is much more than just a nucleus there to build on. If Jennings stays healthy, he could finally have the year that everyone knew he could have and his decision to stay will pay him millions more.

As for the coaching staff, don’t doubt Saban’s ability to get what he wants. There are folks that thought he had lost his mind hiring Kiffin, but even that worked out. After that situation, everyone should just relax and trust that Nick Saban knows what he’s doing in choosing his coaches.

There’s no doubt that Tua and Mack Jones got a lot of great instruction from both Locksley and Enos, how can it harm them to learn from another great coach? It’s not like either can’t function without their old coach on the sideline.

And yes, we lose some great offensive linemen, but guess what, they actually have some great ones returning and have great ones in the pipeline to go along with those great running backs and some of the best receivers in all of college football to catch passes from a future Heisman winner.

But for Bama fans still in the worry, Alabama also has a new kicker coming in. That in itself should help a lot to ease their worries.
