Branch is a 2020 defensive back out of Tyrone, Georgia,. He has 25 Division 1 offers as Alabama and West Virginia both offered him this weekend. He has offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma and Texas A&M, but Alabama’s offer is one he considers to be like no other.

“It feels great,” Branch said. “It is a feeling like no other. It is Roll Tide, baby.”

Alabama’s new coaching staff played a vital role in the Tide’s junior day on Saturday. They got their first chance to show a collective front to recruits and Branch’s offer was a product of that.

“After talking with coach Saban and coach (Charles) Kelly, the defensive coordinator (Pete Golding) told me I had an offer from them and I was just blown away,” Branch added.

The Georgia product weighs approximately 175 pounds and stands at 6-0. He is an explosive athlete, who knows how to use his speed to make plays in the return game and be effective as a wide receiver in the passing game on offense. His ball judgment skills translate to the defensive side of the ball as he times interceptions with great precision and know how to use his speed to turn interceptions into six points.

The Crimson Tide has made the defensive back position a priority in the 2018 and 2019 recruiting class. Both classes added five defensive backs. The Tide will look to keep that same number trend going in 2020. They currently have two 2020 defensive backs committed in Malachi Moore and Javier Morton.

Branch could be a nice addition to this class.
