Alabama offered Cane Berrong on Friday and compared him to a former Alabama tight end.

Berrong is in the 2021 recruiting class and is a product of Hart County High School in Hartwell, Georgia,. He holds 14 Division 1 offers. He said he feels Alabama’s constant success made this offer awesome.
“It is awesome,” Berrong said. “They are in the college football playoff every year, playing for national titles and they put guys in the league every year.”
The Crimson Tide’s tight end coach Jeff Banks called to tell Berrong of his offer and told him he reminded him of former Alabama tight end, Irv Smith Jr.
Alabama is wasting no time getting Berrong on campus for the very first time. He will visit Tuscaloosa this weekend. He said he feels this visit should give home a good feeling about the Alabama football program as a whole.
“I want to meet the coaches and get a feel for them and see the facilities,” Breggon said. “I just want to see if Tuscaloosa is a place I want to live at for three to four years.”
The Tide continues to put an emphasis on getting receiving tight ends with this latest offer. Breggon constantly lined up outside during his sophomore season and did some damage in the passing game.
The Tide’s 2021 recruiting class has no verbal commits at the moment.
