Ishmael Ibraheem reacts to Alabama offer

Ishmael Ibraheem received an offer from the Tide on May 24 after a good Spring showing.

Ibraheem is a 4-star defensive back out of Dallas, Texas,. Alabama’s special teams’ coach Jeff Banks got to see Ibraheem at practice at a couple of times during Kimball High School’s Spring practice session. Banks, who continues to recruit the state of Texas with aggression, informed Ibraheem of the good news.

“Coach Banks came and watched me a couple times at spring practice,” Ibraheem said. “I will say a couple days after that, he told me to give him a call and he offered me.”

The 2021 recruit holds 18 Division 1 offers.  Alabama, Missouri, Georgia Tech, Nebraska and Arkansas all offered Ibraheem in May. Seven SEC schools total have offered the Texas product.

Ibraheem said he feels Alabama only looks for elite talent.

“Alabama has been on top of college football for so long and for me to have received and offer from Alabama is crazy,” Ibrahhem said. “They only look for the elite and that is big time.”

Ibraheem has shown he has the potential to be an elite player at the next level. At 6-1 and 175 pounds, Ibraheem possesses a slim and lengthy frame. He is scrappy in coverage and could judge the ball in the air with the best of them.

Ibraheem joins the long list of big-time recruits visiting or camping at Alabama this Summer. He has not set a visit date with the Tide yet, but does plan to come to Tuscaloosa at some point.

The defensive back position has constantly been a stapled in Alabama’s recruiting classes and the groundwork has been laid for the Tide to work on adding a nice 2021 talent.

Alabama has yet to get a verbal commitment in the 2021 recruiting class.
