UA freshman has “DNA” for what Saban needs on his defensive line

The more information heard on him should energize Alabama fans. 

Freshman defensive lineman DJ Dale will be a factor this season and one person who is excited to see it unfold is his trainer, Leonard Stephens.

Known as “Coach L” on Twitter, Stephens is one of the visionaries behind Step-By-Step Performance Training in Birmingham, Ala.

A former collegiate athlete and alumnus of Jacksonville State University, Stephens has been training Dale since the spring semester. For the product of Clay-Chalkville High School in the Crimson Tide’s 2019 signing class, conditioning has been the biggest part of Dale’s process.
