The perfect time to be an Alabama football fan is upon us.
Fall practice returns next week on Friday, Aug. 2 and for head coach Nick Saban, the journey to return to the College Football Playoff stage and win a national championship begins now.
While supporters of the program will watch the team from start to finish, their favorite part of camp is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 3 at Bryant-Denny Stadium. According to a press release from rolltide.com, the Crimson Tide will hold its annual Open Practice/Fan Day next Saturday.

For two hours, Tide fans will watch a live practice and get a feel for who they think will be starters and marquee rotational contributors this season. Following the session, which is slated from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., Saban and the players will be available for autographs at 4:45 p.m.
In the annual “running of the gumps,” the first 150 fans in line at Gate 25 (South field entrance) will receive number color-coded wristbands for early entrance into the autograph session.
Fans may enter the stadium for the open practice, starting at 1:30 p.m.
They will enter through gates 9 and 19 and occupy the west side lower bowl – which is sections A-N.
Fans will be limited to have one item autographed per person, as the team looks to have this done in a timely manner.
With the offseason almost over, we can finally stop talking football and start seeing some practices and action take place.
