4-Star defensive lineman, Jamil Burroughs, announced his de-commitment from Georgia on Friday and the Tide looked to be in a good position with the Georgia product.

“After careful consideration, talks with my family and prayer, I have decided to de-commit from Georgia,” Burroughs said via Twitter. “I appreciate the time I have spent there and the relationships I built. I truly appreciated the opportunity but I have to do what I feel is right. God bless you all.”
Burroughs has visited Tuscaloosa a few times over the last couple of months. The 4-Star prospect was also in attendance for the Tide’s season opener against Duke.
Alabama has four 2020 defensive linemen verbally committed in William Anderson, Jah-Marien Latham, Jayson Jones, and Timothy Smith. The Tide will like to add Burroughs to this group and with the tide starting true freshman, DJ Dale, at the nose guard position, they will like to bring in some more fresh blood after a nice haul in the 2019 recruiting class.
