Alabama’s stretch to the College Football Playoff begins Saturday.

Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide will host the University of Mississippi at Bryant-Denny Stadium at 2:30 p.m. via CBS. After a victory over Southern Mississippi, supporters of the crimson and white look to see a continuation of improvement on offense and defense.

Despite the Rebels coming in at 2-2, Saban sees the program as much improved under Matt Luke and first-year offensive coordinator, Rich Rodriguez. Ole Miss wants production on the outside and in its rushing attack; however, the Crimson Tide’s defense is allowing 10.8 points a game.

Offensively, Tua Tagovailoa is exceeding his numbers from last year.

In pairing him back with Steve Sarkisian, Alabama is averaging 50 points per game and he’s shattering every statistical passing record in school history. Currently, Tagovailoa stands as one of five primary frontrunners for this year’s Heisman Memorial Trophy. Since we have already previewed the marquee players for Mississippi, it’s time to highlight five Tide student-athletes.
