After reaching his sixth win of the season at Alabama, Nick Saban addressed reporters on Monday in previewing the matchup against Tennessee. This will be the first night game of the year for the Crimson Tide and one that Saban is happy about.

Despite a 2-4 record, the Volunteers could’ve beaten Georgia and Florida and Jeremy Pruitt has it playing better.

During the presser, Saban spoke highly of Jaylen Waddle, Henry Ruggs III and Alabama’s special teams (aside from punting and kicking) in the victory over Texas A&M.

He was pleased with the performance of the offensive line and while there are still areas of improvement needed on defense, he liked the pass rush of Terrell Lewis, Anfernee Jennings and Christian Barmore on Kellen Mond.

The Crimson Tide is also developing true freshmen, Justin Eboigbe and Byron Young on the defensive line and Markail Benton at inside linebacker.

Regardless of him having a good performance at receiver, Devonta Smith was ejected from the game.

He was involved in altercation on the field with a player from Texas A&M and after retaliating to a punch thrown at him, the officials disqualified Smith. Per Saban, the junior will be suspended for one-half of the game versus Tennessee.
